Capital Conference Update:
Thank You to the following for their great representation on Capital Hill on January 30th during the National Association's CAP Conference: MassAHU Board President, Julie Jennings, President-elect, Jean Russell, Legislative Chair, Curt Nelson, member Scott Hokanson and Legislative Council, Dan Foley met individually with their members of Congress on Capital Hill and provided their expertise, representing our members' concerns and discussing our role in future policy issues.

Official regulations regarding the Fair Share requirement that employers need to follow. This clearly addresses part-time employees. Also a ‘Business Guide’ dealing with Health Care Reform and how it applies to employers.

Regarding Dependents under the new Health Care Reform Law:
A dependent age 19 or over (who is not a full-time strudent or a handicapped dependt) may be eligible for continued coverage under the state's recently passed health care reform law.
