A Message from Your President
Thank you to all the members who took time out of their busy schedules to attend our annual meeting on June 15th. It was a real treat to meet Katharine London, the new Executive Director of the Health Care Quality & Cost Council, in her first public appearance since accepting this vital and challenging position. Her leadership in the work of the Council give us something positive to talk about and look forward to in health care reform. Be sure to follow the council's progress in our association udpates and plan to come to Benefest, where we hope to hear again from Katharine.

Thanks also to our members who responded to our recent member survey. Just 5 quick responses from many of you helped us determine what we need to focus on in the next several months. We entered into an agreement with John Houle Advertising to help us in our goal to increase visibility within the Commonwealth, to expand the public's understanding and awareness on the role of the broker and also to impart that we have one of the best options for the public in the private market for health care services and solutions.

Also, thank you to Kevin Conway and Combined Services for donating 2 tickets to the July 5 Red Sox Game ---- the lucky winner and participant of the Member Survey is Steven Walsh with The Magellan Agency

While I am in the thankful mode, I cannot say enough to thank the board members, our Association Manager, Kate Bardsley and lobbyist, Dan Foley, for making this association grow over the past two years. I am truly honored to have served such a worthy organization as president, and I am committed to supporting our new President, Jean Russell, as she takes us to even greater heights of success in our profession.
