A Message from Your President

This is a very important and substantive time for MassAHU.  I am excited for the opportunity to be the president of MassAHU as we move into a new era with Massachusetts health care reform. I am committed to achieving growth in our association to make sure we are recognized for the important role we play in helping insure the citizens in Massachusetts.

We all have an opportunity at this time.  The board of MassAHU has led this association to achieve some great successes in the past, and I am grateful for their efforts as I take up my position as President.  But now is the time to realize that each and every member is as important and as influential as I and the rest of board members are.  I'm counting on you now to step up to the plate.  I need your help - participating in our programs, contributing to our newly formed political action committee (link), recruiting colleagues as new members, and providing us with feedback and suggestions.

Be sure to speak up and let us know what we're doing right or wrong or how we can do it better.  Our Association Manager, Kate Bardsley is incredibly focused and ready to take on a task to meet our member needs or further our mission.  Our lobbyist, Dan Foley, would love to hear from you if you have a strong relationship with state legislators.  Our committee chairs are looking for fresh input to help them contribute to the overall goals of the association.

Also, be sure to mark  your calendar to attend our Nuts & Bolts Roundtable on August 23rd - I look forward to seeing you there!
