To All MassAHU Members (and all Brokers who are not members as well):

We wish to thank many of our members who have taken the initiative to join the Coalition for Affordable Health.  Important legislation is pending which would provide a lower cost alternative to small employers as an interim offering while payment reform is being hashed out.  Our coalition partners have asked for our members’ support in contacting legislators.  If you have not done so already, please send a message through the link below, and please pass this along to your colleagues and clients to help support its passage.  It only takes a few seconds and truly helps!

MassAHU is also working with the Coalition for Affordable Health to educate our legislators concerning Association Health Plans.  While many feel that AHP’s are a panacea to the rising cost of health insurance, we know the inherent dangers of allowing AHP’s into the market without protecting the existing market from adverse selection.  If you would like to help spread the word concerning AHP’s or any other legislation that may be damaging to the market, please email Kate Bardsley or myself to lend your voice and your influence
